The room was a nice size and cozy, and it had a safe, cable channels, and a writing desk that were useful. The beds were comfy and the staff was incredibly nice. The place had an elegant atmosphere. The service was absolutely friendly! Location: the hotel was not far from the First cable car station.

Very convenient for gondola lift to First.

The breakfast buffet merited barely a 'standard' rating with no fruit other than apples and oranges available and not even basic salami offered on one morning with the other cooked meats. Of course I could have requested some salami but it should not have been necessary to ask for it.

It was nice that First gondola lift was close to the hotel. The restaurant on the first floor served really tasty pizza.

The hotel is situated in a great location for business travellers. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The breakfast was good, and the rooms were generally clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out were both a breeze. the hotel provided free Wi-Fi which helped me to stay connected with my work.

There were some negative aspects that detracted from my stay. the room was quite noisy at times which made it difficult to sleep properly.

We were very pleased with our stay. We went to Grindelwald so that we could catch the train to Jungfrajoch. The hotel was only a 10 minute, easy walk to the train station. Hotel Steinboch is on the main street, so there were plenty of places to walk to. The room was comfortable and very clean. The staff could not have been more kind. We would definitely stay there again!
